"Music is a big part of my life and these talented
guys make it fun to
rehearse."
Bland
Cromwell began his road to rock at the tender age of 5
on the piano with lessons that continued until he was 10.
“I
could play by ear and had no interest in reading music.”
In
1965, Bland helped create a band called The
Mustangs in which he was the drummer. He continued to be a drummer
in various high school bands until 1973,
when college called.
Bland
teamed up with Hourglass
in 1997. “I was excited when Hourglass
(Larry, Steve, and Michael) decided to expand the band line-up and add
keyboards. I had jammed a few times with each on a single occasion, but had not
performed live since high school. This has scratched an itch, a burning
desire.” Bland's dad is a musician, as is his brother and now his sons are both playing in bands of their own.
Bland
is both a talented musician and a successful commercial real
estate broker in
Waco
with many national awards & clients nation
wide. He has also served as president of the Texas Sports Hall of Waco for the
past 6 years.
